We all know how important community is, and we’re incredibly lucky to have such a strong one here in Ashbourne. Summer gives us the perfect opportunity to come together, and with a range of events lined up, there are plenty of ways to be part of it. Here’s what’s coming up.

Teddy Bears Parachuting
Parachuting from the church roof, teddy first-aid, treasure hunt, stalls.

Street Festival
Ashbourne's town centre is given over to some of the best street entertainers from around the world.

Ashbourne Writers’ Group - ‘Weathering’: Original Poetry and Prose
Ashbourne Writers’ Group present original work on the theme of ‘Weathering’, after exploring relationships between landscape and the human psyche with psychotherapist and geologist Ruth Allen.

Ashbourne Big Sing
QEGS Choir, Concert Band and Clarinet Group perform alongside the MyForte Choir, which is made up of children from local area schools including Ashbourne Primary, St Oswald’s, Brailsford, Bradley, Parwich, Norbury, Sudbury, Doveridge, Kniveton.

Picnic in the Park
Bring your own picnic and enjoy a day of entertainment on the park! Band stand performer to be announced soon!

The Grange Ensemble
A feast of music by Brahms and Piazzolla written for horn, violin, cello and piano.
