INTRODUCING OUR SEASIDE STREET FESTIVAL...
Ashbourne-by-the-sea
Ashbourne might be located as far from the sea in every direction as it’s almost possible to get, but for two days only, WE’RE BRINGING THE SEASIDE HERE TO YOU.
You will believe you are at the seaside. Be amazed as the Market Place and other areas are transformed by giant props to get everyone in the seaside mood. Peep boards, surfboards, beach huts, sandcastles and we’ll even have some Ashbourne Rock for sale, too.
Guaranteed thrills, spills, laughs and general mayhem outdoors - whatever the weather! Make sure to follow Ashbourne Street Festival on Facebook & Instagram for first dibs on performance timings and all the goings on.
An international star of the street performing circuit, Jack is a "Modern Day Vaudevillian" combining quick-witted Irish charm with magic, ventriloquism, and, well, just watch out for whatever he does with that sword!
Harvey
He trained at Circomedia, one of the UK’s oldest circus schools (yes, there are some! He’s also one of Europe's youngest professional street performers, delivering a fast-paced show packedwith razor-sharp comedy, high-level juggling, and daring circus skills. He’s a regular performer at Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe, and Covent Garden.
Matt Barnard
Winner of UK Street Performer of the Year, this is the ultimate variety act. Quick-fire comedian, juggler, musician, and actor all rolled into one. Look out for a wide range of characters as they emerge throughout the show. A guaranteed showstopper, he’s made many TV appearances with frequent performances at Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe and in Hollywood.
Grace B
She brings a splash of sunshine and an action-packed seaside-based comedy show that’s bursting with incredible circus skills - and daring rescues. Watch as she navigates the waves, saves the day, and wins over everyone in the crowd with buckets of laughter and irresistible charm.
The Tom Show
His impressive repertoire features daring and dangerous stunts that leave audiences gasping. Expect swords. Beware of the tumbling knives as he sits atop a 7-foot unicycle, Tom combines jaw-dropping skill with high-energy showmanship in a performance that is impossible to look away from.
Trent
Worldwide variety comedian of weird, whimsy and wonder. The infamous man like no man with absurd acts and avant garde facts. Witness a show like no other featuring joke telling, plastic bag juggling, mic stand balancing and the giant balloon climbing in finale!
Annie
Be amazed as Annie the sand sculptor transforms simple grains of sand into breathtaking works of art, right before your very eyes. A mesmerising blend of performance and craft.
Cheeky Seagulls
Our totally surreal and hilariously unpredictable Giant Street Seagulls will be – literally – much larger than life. This mischievous pair will deliver more pure chaos than you can shake a packet of chips at. There will be much rummaging through bags, stealing of food, and petty squabbling noisily amongst themselves.
Giant Octopus
It’s a whopper. Nearly 4 metres high and over 7 metres wide. THIS IS NO ORDINARY OCTOPUS. It’s jaw-dropping puppetry at its eye-opening best. It’s got 8 mischievous tummy tickling legs and it’s going to be here in Ashbourne.
