To celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday in 2025, Illyria presents this adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". It explores love, social class, and family dynamics in early 19th-century England through the eyes of the witty Elizabeth Bennet.

The idea to create Illyria sprang from that single random moment. The original season in 1992 was conceived to last just two weeks. But such was the appetite amongst venues for a young theatre company with a refreshingly vibrant approach to Shakespeare that a full nine-week tour ended up being booked.
