This year we’re teaming up with Illuminos to bring you Nightwatch, a Son et Lumière transforming Ashbourne’s Market Place as part of the Lantern Festival.

Son et Lumière is French for ‘sound and light’. After dark, moving images of the town’s industrial, retail and social past, including clock making, will weave together across the George & Dragon, Ye Olde Vaults and The Brass Button, celebrating the traditions that have shaped the community over generations.

It’s a spectacular new addition to the Lantern Festival that you won’t want to miss.

Nightwatch is in the Market Place on Friday 4th December after the lantern parade, and again on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December from 4:30pm to 9pm.

The project has been made possible following a successful funding bid to the Arts Council by Ashbourne Arts Ltd, one of the organisations responsible for both the Ashbourne Festival and the Lantern Festival.
