Eat out, while acclaimed trumpet player Josh Short and his Saiga Tracks band bring you the very best music from the vibrant UK jazz and fusion scene. Josh has been working with artists such as Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Rick Astley, Olly Murs and Tony Hadley.
He has played Ronnie Scotts, The Albert Hall and The Barbican in London. With an EP launch arriving in 2025, be among the first to hear it performed by this band live at BEAR.
After moving from Ashbourne to London to pursue a career in music 5 years ago, Josh has fully immersed himself on the scene as one of the best young trumpet players in the UK. While studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance Josh was involved in West-end musicals, performing with pop artists such as Macy Gray, Olivia Dean and touring around Europe. Since graduating he has proceeded to work with artists such as Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Rick Astley, Olly Murs, Tony Hadley. Performing at venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Hall and with the West End musical Wicked.
At the end of 2024 Josh decided to start his own project under the name Saiga Tracks. Taking influence from great bands such as Corto Alto, RH Factor & Butcher Brown with a heavy groove focus and creative improvisation his all star band from London are excited to bring the heat up to Peaks. With an EP launch arriving in 2025, be the first to hear this band live in the great BEAR Cafe. Prepare for a packed crowd and live jazz right in the heart of town.
