Our Game was a huge community project celebrating Ashbourne’s Shrovetide football game and was display in St Oswald’s Church throughout the festival 2018. Created by Sarah Heaton and Helen Cammiss of The Clayrooms in Ashbourne and hundreds of local children and adults at a series of organised school visits and pop-up workshops in town, this installation of around 5000 small terracotta figures represents the supporters and players. Forget the Terracotta Warriors, this unique art installation was the real ‘must see’ and attracted thousands of visitors from all over the world during the sumer of 2018 in St Oswald’s Church, Ashbourne.

The delivery of this project represents the culmination of a very successful partnership between the Clayrooms and Ashbourne Arts and was a highlight of the 2018 festival.
