Young Poets Competition judge this year is: MATT BRYDEN. Matt’s teaching career has taken him to places as varied as Tuscany, the Czech Republic, Poland and South Sudan. He teaches poetry for the Poetry School and worked with the Arvon Foundation on their Teachers as Writers project 2016. Matt has written and taught courses for the charity Story Door, which aims to improve literacy levels among disadvantaged students across the South West by sharing poems, inspiring them to write and fostering an enthusiasm for poetry. Matt also organises the Somerset Young Poet’s Competition.
