Comedy Night remains one of the most popular nights of the festival with tickets selling out very quickly. We are renowned for our great line-ups of up and coming and established stand up comedians. We like to think that we have given that extra boost to some stellar careers! We know that the comedians love the Ashbourne audiences and that’s why they keep coming.

Headlining this year’s Comedy Night is Dave Johns. Although he recently rose to fame as the star of the film I, Daniel Blake, Dave is one of the most respected and best loved comedians working on the British comedy circuit, having performed extensively in UK comedy clubs, and comedy clubs and festivals worldwide for nearly 3 decades.

Also appearing:

Raymond and Mr Timpkins – a very experienced raconteur, bon viveur and dry cleaning impresario, Mr Timpkins can make his tongue into a tube shape and confesses this is perhaps his proudest achievement. He rescued raymond from a dry cleaners where he was being held to flatten sheets. He is grateful for any attention, particularly from small dogs and supermarket greengrocers.

Gordon Southern – a regular headlining comedian on UK and International circuit, spending several months every year performing in Australia. A highly regarded international act, he’s worked in many exotic & challenging places, including Afghanistan, The Falkland Islands, Kosovo & Liverpool.

The compere for the evening is Jeremy O’Donnell who mixes sharp one-liners with friendly story telling and sparkling off the cuff wit. His cheeky smile and friendly nature have endeared him to audiences all over Britain and as far a field as Berlin, Bahrain, Paris and Zurich.

Eleanor Tiernan –  has withdrawn due to TV commitments.
